So I crawl under my rock for a few weeks and totally miss #cockygate. What do you make of this?
I have titles that are similar or the same as other titles. Heck, there’s even another series called Mystic Isle. But I’ve never felt particularly threatened or called to trademark everything. Maybe I’m falling down on the job.
I think CockyGate is totally ignorant. Who the hell thinks they can corner the market on a word?? Would this mean I’d have to send her a royalty every time I said “cocky”? Come on, surely no one would actually be that stupid. It’s a freakin’ word. I really hope the lady that did this has reconsidered and realized what a dumb-ass move it was.
